Stephen Colbert  has poked fun at President-elect  Donald Trump’s reported friendship with Russian leader  Vladimir Putin . The “ Late Show ” host conducted a spoof interview with Trump Monday, in which the Republican “revealed” what the Russian president had sent him as an election victory gift ―  a beautiful, yuuuge, tremendous, enormous wooden horse. “ Have you thought about looking inside the horse to see if there is anything in it before you open the gates and bring it into America?” Colbert asked Trump ― in reference to the ancient tale of how Greeks concealed themselves in a wooden horse in order to enter the city of Troy

Keeping track of Donald Trump’s tweeting habits must be a full-time job. So “ The Daily Show ” imagined what life would be like for the person in charge of keeping the GOP nominee’s social media outbursts under control in a spoof “exclusive.” Fictitious Trump campaign social media manager Doug Bailey says in the parody clip that his job is to “optimize Mr. Trump’s online communications.” But in reality, he just spends most of his time hiding the brash businessman’s cell phones and iPads to limit his posting of demeaning messages that may affect the vote.

You don’t have to be an American to see the absurdities in the U.S.  presidential election .  Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli ― a.k.a.  Fitzy and Wippa of Australia’s NOVA FM radio ― have cooked up a new parody that roasts Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump . Set to the tune of the 1984 Wham! hit “ Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go ,” the song’s chorus includes the line: “Donald Trump, you have to go go ― you’re a bigot, racist and homophobe.”  “A lot of people have been watching Trump’s presidential bid going ‘ nah, nah, this won’t happen ,’” Fitzgerald told News.com.au. “But as the election got closer we just felt we had to do something and get involved.” Check it out above

Reader Left Out writes, I was wondering if you have some advice about being excluded from a group that used to invite you to their parties (or in general about exclusion situations). We live in a neighborhood where several families (about 7-9) get together and have parties (most of our kids are around the same age too and go to the local school together). I’ve kinda figured out that several of them get together more frequently and are more close knit which is ok.

If you’re protecting important personal accounts with nothing more than a few security questions, it may be time for an upgrade. A study from Google recently compared the use of security questions to other account recovery methods like SMS (short text messages) and an alternative email address. It found that true or made-up responses to questions like, “What was your mother’s maiden name?” or specific answers to prompts such as “Favorite Superhero,” “First Car” or “Childhood Phone Number,” weren’t a reliable way to recover or protect an account.

A football team from a largely African-American high school was given a shocking reception at a mostly white high school in Virginia on Friday when a racist song was played over the PA system before the game.  The song, a parody of the “DuckTales” theme with explicit and hate-filled lyrics , was broadcast by someone at Glen Allen High School prior to the team’s homecoming game against Marshall High School in nearby Richmond.  The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that John Marshall’s student body is 93 percent black , compared to 19 percent at Glen Allen.  But if the song was an attempt to intimidate, it didn’t work: John Marshall easily beat Glen Allen by a score of 44-21. ” Really, that just ignited us ,” Lucas Harris, a former John Marshall football player who attended the game, told local NBC station WWBT. “Gave us motivation to go out there and win, and we played our best game of the year. We really came together as a family.

Zaki’s Review: American Ultra

21Ago

American Ultra posits a mildly amusing premise — what if a stoned-out slacker found out he was Jason Bourne? — and turns it into ninety or so minutes of filmmaking that are probably a lot more engaging than they have any right to be. Directed by Project X ‘s Nima Nourizadeh and starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart (in a post- Adventureland reunion), it’s a little too slapdash narratively and stylistically to be truly revolutionary, but it does offer its share of chuckles, and benefits both from the talented cast and a sprightly script by Max Landis ( Chronicle ).
